December is a very busy month with the holidays, but there are so many events going on too that you should try and take advantage of them if you have a free day or evening.
The 3rd Annual Hot Air Balloon Classic – December 13th-15th Starts Friday Afternoon at 3:30PM and runs through Sunday Morning at 10am. It is taking place in Gilbert at the Gilbert Civic Center. Seeing 25 Hot Air Balloons at once in the sunset or sunrise is just a spectacular sight. There will be hot air balloon rides, music, food and a Hare and A Hound Hot Air Balloon race. Desert Botanical Garden– Las Noces de las Lumanarias- This beautiful sight happens every year when they line the path ways with Lumanarias and have entertainment, food, wine and just plain romantic ambiance. This is more of an adult outing. For more info click here

Zoo Lights is always a big hit with the kids. That takes place at the Phoenix Zoo. Glendale Glitters features thousands of lights in downtown Glendale. Chandler has their very own Tumble Weed Christmas Tree displayed in Downtown Chandler.
